In our summer concert, we will have an exciting evening of wind band music featuring internationally acclaimed tuba virtuoso Les Neish.
Known for his dazzling technique, musical artistry, and infectious enthusiasm, Les Neish is one of the world’s leading tuba soloists. His performances have taken him to concert halls and festivals around the globe, captivating audiences with a unique blend of virtuosity, warmth, and engaging stage presence.
In this special concert, the band and Les come together for a spectacular programme showcasing the extraordinary versatility of the tuba. From the rich autumnal colours of October to the radiant serenity of Glimpse of Paradise and the fiery drama of Inferno, this is an evening bursting with energy, colour, and musical storytelling - and you won’t want to miss a moment of it!

Tuba Studio Class with Les Neish - 10:30am -12:30pm
A unique opportunity for an inspiring morning of music-making with tuba virtuoso and Besson Artist Les Neish.
Take part in group warm-ups, ensemble playing, and studio-style coaching, with opportunities for individual performance and feedback. Through a mix of practical exercises and fun, interactive activities, Les demonstrates that playing a brass instrument at a high level is achievable for everyone.
Les is an internationally renowned tuba soloist, chamber musician, and educator, celebrated for his musicianship, artistry, and exceptional technical brilliance.
